How to remove watermarks on your design
Remove watermarks on elements
- Download your design to purchase all the premium elements you used.
- Select the Remove watermarks button on an element to purchase it.
- Upgrade from Canva Free to Canva Pro or Canva Teams.
- Download your design to purchase all the premium elements you used.
- Select the Remove watermarks button on an element to purchase it.
You’ll find your purchased elements in your Purchased folder.

I’m on Canva Pro or Canva Teams but I still see watermarks
If you’re on Canva Pro or Canva Teams but still see watermarks on your design, you might be in the wrong account or team. Learn what to do when you can’t use Pro features.
I paid for an element before. Why does it still have watermarks?
Cause
- You're using a different Canva account or team from when you purchased the element.
- You're using the element in a different design. A content license allows unlimited edits and downloads only in the same design you purchased it for.
Fix
- Make sure you’re in the account or team you used to pay for the element previously. Check your registered email for the purchase invoice, and make sure you’re logged in to Canva using that email.
- For Canva Free users, we issue a content license every time you purchase a premium element. The license allows unlimited edits and downloads of the purchased element in the same design.
- If you want to use the same element in a different design, you’ll need to purchase it again to get a new license for it.
You’ll also see the brand (team) on the invoice that you used for the purchase. Switch to that team by selecting your account icon on the homepage, and then on its name under Switch team. For mobile users, tap on Menu first from the home screen to see your account icon.

My Canva Print PDF proof has watermarks
As part of the Canva Print order process, we ask you to download and review a PDF proof. For Canva Free users, if you used premium elements in your design, this proof will be watermarked.
As long as you’ve completed the checkout process, the watermark will not appear on your actual print order. This is because payment for premium elements also happens during print order checkout.
